The lens is the exact copy of the Carl Zeiss Distagon 35/2.8, manufactured by Rollei under the license agreement with Carl Zeiss. For the Voigtlander VSL 1 camera(screw mount variant) it was manufactured with the M42 mount, for the Voigtlander VSL 1 (bayonet mount), VSL 2 and VSL 3-E cameras - with the Rollei QBM mount. The lens, alongside with the above mentioned cameras, was manufactured at Rollei works in Singapore.
The lens shouldn't be confused with the Voigtlander Color-Skoparex AR 35mm f/2.8, manufactured since 1977 in Japan by Mamiya. The lenses and their optical schemes are quite different....sobre todo el párrafo final...¿como saber cual ha sido construído a partir de 1977 por Mamiya?
Para acabar de liarme, también hay, además del auténtico Carl Zeiss Distagon 35mm f/2,8 un Rollei HFT Distagon 35 mm f/ 2.8 (montura QBM de Rollei, como la mayoría de los Color Skoparex, salvo el M42), que también fué construído bajo licencia en Singapore.
